Leh Ladakh, Nubra and Sham Valley Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Leh Airport (11,500 ft), where our team will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. Leh is located at a high altitude, so this day is kept free for acclimatization to help your body adjust to the thin mountain air.
Spend the day relaxing at the hotel. In the evening, you may take a gentle walk around the Leh local market and nearby cafés to soak in the unique atmosphere of Ladakh.
Enjoy a warm welcome dinner and prepare for the adventure that awaits in the coming days.

Day 2
After breakfast, begin your first exploration of Ladakh with a drive towards the scenic Sham Valley, also known as the “Apricot Valley”.
Highlights of the day include:
Hall of Fame – A museum maintained by the Indian Army honoring the heroes of the Kargil War.
Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – A revered Sikh shrine built in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Magnetic Hill – A fascinating gravity-defying location where vehicles appear to move uphill on their own.
Sangam (Indus-Zanskar Confluence) – Witness the dramatic meeting point of two mighty Himalayan rivers.
Spituk Monastery – A beautiful monastery offering panoramic views of the Indus Valley.
Return to Leh by evening.

Day 3
Today the real adventure begins as you cross Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
The drive offers breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks and dramatic mountain landscapes before descending into the spectacular Nubra Valley, known for its cold desert terrain.
Visit:
Diskit Monastery – The oldest and largest monastery of Nubra Valley.
Maitreya Buddha Statue – A magnificent 106-foot statue overlooking the valley.
Hunder Sand Dunes – Experience the rare high-altitude desert where you can enjoy camel rides on double-humped Bactrian camels and adventure activities like ATV rides.

Day 4
After breakfast, embark on one of Ladakh’s most scenic journeys towards the iconic Pangong Lake.
The route takes you through rugged mountain landscapes and remote high-altitude villages before reaching the mesmerizing Pangong Tso (14,270 ft).
This legendary lake stretches across India and Tibet and is famous for its ever-changing shades of blue surrounded by dramatic mountains.
Spend the evening enjoying the magical sunset by the lake.

Day 5
Today’s journey takes you deep into the untouched landscapes of the Changthang plateau, one of the most remote regions of Ladakh.
Drive through breathtaking terrain, passing isolated nomadic settlements and vast high-altitude plains before reaching Hanle Village, home to one of the world’s highest astronomical observatories.
Visit the Hanle Monastery, beautifully located on a hilltop overlooking the valley.
Hanle is famous for its clear night skies, making it one of the best stargazing locations in India.

Day 6
Today is the highlight of the expedition.
Early morning, begin your journey towards Umling La Pass (19,024 ft) — the highest motorable road in the world.
The drive is nothing short of spectacular as you traverse vast high-altitude plateaus, rugged mountains, and remote army outposts.
Standing at Umling La is a truly unforgettable experience — surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks and the silence of one of the highest places accessible by road on Earth.
After spending time at the summit and capturing memorable photographs, return to Hanle.
Overnight Stay: Hanle
Day 7
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive back to Leh.
The journey offers incredible views of Ladakh's vast landscapes, passing through remote villages and dramatic mountain passes, visit Thiksay monastry and Rancho school enroute.
Arrive in Leh by afternoon. Spend the evening exploring the Leh market, shopping for Ladakhi handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional artifacts.
Enjoy your final evening in the mountains.

Day 8
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey.
